Booth 850 on Exhibit Floor Monday & Tuesday
Vendor Presentation Monday September 15 - 1215 - 1300 - Room 1 on Exhibit Floor
The Green Patient Room is the first full-scale concept room of its kind. Embodying these seven principles, the Green Patient Room is an educational exhibit to elevate awareness of green materials and technologies that are economically viable, reaily available and appropriate for use in intensive healthcare settings. It also shows how to create a healing environment that improves the quality of life for patients, staff and family by utilizing best practices and evidence-based design concepts.
Greening the Patient Experience embodies the seven following principles:
• Do no harm; create a safe and healing environment for the patient.
• Minimize the room's impact on the natural environment through sustainable practices.
• Provide direct connections between the outdoor and indoor environment.
• Design the indoor environment to promote the health and well-being of staff and families.
• Shelter-in-place: create a place that can function in the face of disaster.
• Integrate the use of technology in patient care.
• Humanize the healthcare environment.
